This is based on the HBO series and their current status.

Out of the dire wolves:
Robb Stark & Grey Wind:  Both killed ("The Rains of Castamere" - season 3))
Sansa Stark & Lady:  Lady was killed by Eddard Stark (ordered by Cersi / Robert) in the episode "The Kingsroad" (season 1).  Nymeria protected Arya from Joeffry and knowing Nymeria would be killed Arya ordered her to run away.  Sansa is trapped as a "guest" of the Lannisters and married to Tyrion.
Bran Stark and Summer:  Alive and heading beyond the wall with Jojen Reed.
Arya Stark and Nymeria:  Nymeria is unknown (set free by Arya in season 1).  Arya is travelling with The Hound.
Rickon Stark and Shaggy Dog:  Travelling to Castle Black with Osha
Jon Snow and Ghost:  Jon fled the wildlings to head back to Castle Black, Ghost is unknown, possibly with the survivors of the dissention at Craster's Keep.

I do have one big question - Shaggy Dog and Summer helped Jon Snow when he was fighting the wildlings - how come he didn't recognize them??

Help needed / Emma Garza - True Blood
« Last post by DogActors.com on July 16, 2012, 07:33:21 PM »
I am trying to find out what breed of dog was used for Emma Garza, it's either a husky or malamute puppy (if one of these two more likely a husky) or a klee kai adult.

The breed is Berger Picard - I'll have to see if I can get an article up on the breed in a little bit.

Sorry it's been a while but I can confirm that the movie IS A JEAN FILM!!

That's right.  This little film company has had a Jean film available to the public, you just need to become a member before you can rent it.

Dog Actor chat / Original Rin tin Tin pictures
« Last post by DogActors.com on May 24, 2011, 05:35:11 PM »
I was able to get a copy of "The Hills of Kentucky" on 8mm a few months ago and this weekend I attempted an 8mm to digital conversion.  It went OK.  Here are some pictures I was able to pull from it.  Rinty is the darker of the two and the lighter one is Nanette II.

Here is also a promotional photo from the movie "Hero of the Big Snows":

Dog Actor chat / I think I found something important...
« Last post by DogActors.com on February 09, 2011, 07:31:46 PM »
In my searches online I think I have found not one but TWO Jean (Vitagraph Dog) films.

"A Tin Type Romance" was rescued a few years ago but it was hard to find who rescued it - I found them and contacted them.

Another film where Jean was uncredited (Sailor's Sacrifice) is with a historic film company.  I've requested to borrow the copy (they have it on DVD).  They agreed and are shipping it out soon.

Hopefully it is a Jean film.

I also have acquired a copy (on 8mm) of "Hills of Kentucky" - a film starring the original Rin Tin Tin (I already have "The Lightning Warrior" on DVD).

I also have an unknown Rin Tin Tin film but it is on 16mm film and I don't have a 16mm projector at this time but it's probably from the 50's.

Casa del Mango has bred and trained professionally for over 15 years.  They've also used their dogs in TV and advertising.

Their cast currently includes:

Zorro - Belgian Malinois

Zorro was a police canine in the Spanish (Telemundo) soap opera, "¿Dondé esta Elisa?" (one episode as well as the opening credits).  He was also used in photos and videos for crate demonstrations on the 1800PetMeds.com website.

Zorro was also featured on SNYTV (Sports New York) during the Westminster Dog Show for being a show dog an an active service dog.

Video:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5n01aXZu6lo

Zorro has his CGC (Canine God Citizen), TDI (Therapy Dog International) certified, also has many obedience titles (Rally Excellent, for example).  He is also a successful herding dog and won Best of Opposite at the 2007 Eukanuba national championship.

Kiri - German shepherd

Kiri was used in the demonstration video for a large stroller on the 1800PetMeds.com website.

Luna- Czechoslovakian vlcak

Luna is currently being trained to be a dog actor but now she is very photogenic.  She has the look of a wolf but the temperament of a German shepherd.

Pollux - Czechoslovakian vlcak

Pollux is also being trained to be a dog actor.  He looks *very* much like a wolf and may be a great stand-in for pictures requiring a wolf.
